What is a resolver and why should I use one?

A GS1‑Conformant resolver links a product’s identifier — such as a GTIN — to relevant online content, including product details, instructions, sustainability information or specifications.

 

 

Instead of pointing to just one webpage, a resolver allows a single QR code powered by GS1 to connect to multiple sources of information, and update those links over time without changing the code on pack.

 

It also supports a more flexible and reliable approach, as product data remains under your control, while the resolver acts as a central discovery service to direct users to the right content.
