Can I change the data in a QR code powered by GS1?

You can’t change the information encoded in a barcode once it’s printed — but you can change what it links to.

QR codes powered by GS1 include a GS1 identifier, typically a GTIN, along with a URL. Because the code identifies the product — not just a webpage — the digital content it connects to can be updated or redirected without changing the QR code on pack.
 
By using a resolver, you can link the same QR code to new or multiple sources of online information over time, keeping content relevant and up to date.
