What does the Archive button do in Barcode Manager?

The Archive button is used to denote a retired product in Barcode Manager.

Archiving a Product

If you have retired or discontinued a product that has been added to Barcode Manager, you can use the Archive button to note that it is no longer active. When you archive a product, it will still be available to view with the rest of your products, but the name with be struck-through to denote that is it no longer active.

To archive a product:

  • Log into Barcode Manager and click My Products on the left side or View Products on the Dashboard.
  • Find the product you would like to archive and click the name of the product to open the Edit Product screen.
  • On the new page, scroll to the bottom and click Archive, which is next to the Clone button.

Activating an Archived Product

If you have decided to reintroduce a retired or inactive product to the market, you may want to re-activate the product in Barcode Manager.

To re-activate a product:

  • Log into Barcode Manager and click My Products on the left side or View Products on the Dashboard.
  • Find the product you would like to reactivate and click the name of the product to open the Edit Product screen.
  • On the new page scroll to the bottom and click Activate, which is next to the Clone button.
